Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Chittagong Range AKM Shahidul Haque, CMP Commissioner Mohammad Moniruzzaman and high officials of the CMP and district police were present on the occasion.
The IGP said with the launch of the website, CMP entered the world of modern technology which is the most important feature of United Nation's Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
Police Ordinance 2007 is under consideration and it will be implemented when the government wants, he added.
On the Mumbai attack, Nur Mohammad said they have sufficient preparation to fight such incident and measures have already been taken in this regard.
Earlier, the IGP inaugurated the website http://www.cmppolice.com by clicking the link. The website would help people get information about CMP and its activities, including information on listed criminals, crime statistics, lodging allegations against criminals and policemen, history of the CMP, profile and contact numbers of the officers.
